Emilia was taken to the dry dock in May 2016 and had an out of water hull survey. All recommended welding and plating was carried out, 10 anodes fitted and the hull blacked.
The engine room houses the oil storage tank, water tanks and kabola central heating boiler which supplies heating via Spirotech radiators which go around the edges of the barge and are concealed by covers plus a electric immersion heater. The barge is connected to shore power via a 240v blue cable and water tanks are filled by a dedicated hose. The oil tank is filled on the starboard side and oil is delivered by a local supplier. There are various 12v lights throughout so if a power cut occurs you are not plunged into darkness.
