HIPS EXPLAINED
A Home Information Pack provides information to a buyer about a property which they may wish to purchase. The pack must be provided by the home seller or the seller’s agent. The aim is that this new system will be simple and more efficient.
The Process:-
- Church & Hawes visit your home to give a market appraisal.
- Once we are instructed we prepare full colour details and organise marketing to include advertising and regular mail outs to our applicants, and of course organise the Home information pack with one of our providers.
- We complete a form for the HIPS provider (giving general information about the property) and we will then arrange for it to be processed.
- Depending on the Home Information Pack provider, payment will either be made by Church and Hawes passing on your credit details to the provider or the provider will contact you direct.
- Costs start from £299 plus vat ( please call for further details on pricing)
- Once we receive Proof Of Order from the Home Information Pack provider (generally within a few hours) marketing can then commence.
- An Energy Performance Assessor will contact you to arrange a visit and supply a certificate for your HIP which will also include Local Authority, Drainage and Water searches. Evidence of title, sale statement and leasehold information if required.
- A copy will be available to view online ( with your own personal pin number supplied once pack is completed ) or/and a hard copy can be sent to yourselves, but please note this will incur an additional charge from the Home Information pack provider
